About Turgon The second son of Fingolfin and Anairë, brother to Fingon, Aredhel, and Argon, and cousin to the Sons of Fëanor. Turgon initially ruled Nevrast south of Hithlum, but a message from Ulmo caused him to lead his people to found the the secret city of Gondolin, which lasted longest of all the elven realms in the war against Morgoth. Turgon took up the kingship of the Noldor after Fingon's death. Turgon died in the sack of Gondolin when his tower collapsed with him in it. His sword Glamdring was presumably taken by Orcs and, millennia later, was found by Gandalf.
