Kasumi is a hard-working, restrained, and considerate pacifist. In the Shibuya Arc, she is seen mourning his death on the train. Over the course of the Tournament Arc and Shibuya Arc it is very apparent their friendship grows as they both strived towards becoming closer to one another. As she mourns his death on the train she holds a mini Mechamaru speaker which tells her to find her happiness. After the recording finishes, she holds the speaker to her heart and cries. The entire Kyoto program seems very distressed by his death on the train.
